GN Solids Control designs and manufactures various types of drilling mud tanks. Based on their functions, these mud tanks can be classified into: mud storage tanks, mud mixing tanks, and mud treatment tanks. In terms of structural design, they can be categorized as horizontal mud tanks, vertical mud tanks, and trailer-mounted mud tanks. The engineering team at GN Solids Control can customize the design of mud tank bodies according to user requirements, providing both individual mud tank bodies and complete mud tank systems designed as integrated packages. GN mud tanks are widely used in solids control systems and liquid mud plant for oil and gas drilling, as well as in trenchless mud mixing tanks and mud storage tanks.

Advantages of GN Drilling Mud Tanks:
- Mud Tank Design and Calculation: GN's design engineers can provide strength calculations for solids control mud tanks and conduct strength analysis using three-dimensional simulation software to ensure that the designed mud tanks meet operational requirements.
- GN Mud Tank Cutting Workshop: Equipped with high-end machinery suitable for cutting mud tank components, such as a 3000W large-scale CNC laser plate cutting machine capable of cutting plates up to 42mm thick, with dimensions of 12m x 4.5m and a cutting precision of 0.2mm. Additionally, a large-scale CNC laser pipe cutting machine can cut pipes and profiles with a diameter of up to 360mm and a length of 12m, capable of cutting intersecting lines and various hole shapes with a precision of 0.2mm.
- GN Mud Tank Riveting and Welding Workshop: Outfitted with automatic corrugated plate forming machines, welding robots, skilled welding technicians, and specialized manifold welding machines, ensuring high-quality weld formation and extended service life.
- GN Mud Tank Painting Workshop: Equipped with automatic shot blasting machines and large-scale sandblasting rooms to perform shot blasting before welding and overall sandblasting after welding. GN's large-scale painting and drying rooms, measuring (19m x 8m), facilitate dust-free and environmentally friendly painting operations throughout all seasons. The painting quality meets the requirements for severe marine anti-corrosion environments.
- GN Mud Tank Assembly Workshop: Small mud tank bodies can be assembled in the indoor assembly workshop, which is equipped with two 20-ton overhead cranes and one 10-ton overhead crane. For large mud tanks, assembly can be carried out in the outdoor assembly yard, with virtually no restrictions on tank size and weight, accommodating the assembly and testing of most large mud tanks.
GN mud tanks are supplied to major domestic drilling rig manufacturers and exported to multiple countries and regions worldwide. We welcome inquiries from customers and offer customized design solutions upon consultation.
